Swinging Hall

Swingin’ Hall was founded in 1995 by the respected Bulgarian musician Hristoslav Galileev “Galio”. It was one of the first live music clubs in Sofia after the fall of Socialism in Bulgaria and it is still open today, remaining on the “Top 3 Venues” list in Bulgaria. Swingin’ Hall survived the Balkan crisis of the ’90s, the financial crisis of 2008, a few criminal attacks and the death of many amazing musicians, who helped the club become what it is today – a place for the passionate lovers of music; a place where one does not come to show off his wealth or arrogance; a place where only true and pure emotions can survive; a place where new music and new love fill the air every day and every night. Throughout the years, a shockingly large number of bands, solo musicians, artists and actors have performed at the venue or have displayed their works there, making Swingin’ Hall’s biography longer and more interesting. Most of these people are now enjoying national and even international success, and one could often hear them mention Swingin’ Hall as an important part of their stories and artist careers.
Today, the venue works every week from Tuesday until Saturday, offering live music performances on each one of these nights. It is comprised of two large halls with a music stage inside each, three bars and a kitchen. There is no predominant genre of music in the club – you may hear anything from smooth jazz to heavy metal or experimental music. Three different generations of visitors keep the venue alive and full, and more and more talented young musicians organize successful gigs there, growing their fan base and, hopefully, getting closer to musical success. For almost 25 years, Swingin’ Hall has proven the meaning of its motto:

“Nobody is first. I am the second.”

Mother’s Cake

Founded in late 2008, Mother’s Cake drew attention of the Viennese label GAB Music and got signed. Their debut “Creation’s Finest” (release-date: 26-10-2012) got featured by Ikey Owens († 2014, member of The Mars Volta & Jack White). Creation’s Finest created a big stir in Austrian music press and ensured Mother’s Cake a firm stand in the business.

The first single “Soul Prison” (17-08-2012) reached over 200,000 views on Youtube.

In 2013, they got awarded with the “Austrian Newcomer Award″ and played many sold-out shows including support gigs for Iggy and the Stooges, Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group, Deftones and Tito & Tarantula.

The “Endless Space Tour 2014″ led them to Australia in February 2014. They band was welcomed cordially in Down Under and successfully played 12 shows in 2 weeks. On April 4, Mother’s Cake released their album in Germany, played a tour there and announced their new video project.

“Off The Beaten Track” presents itself as a 45-minutes long movie that features a whole live-set of Mother’s Cake. It was funded successfully through a crowd-funding project and was officially released on July 17, 2014.

In fall 2014, Mother’s Cake supported Anathema on their Distant Satellites tour leading through 20 countries playing 42 shows in 56 days.

The second studio album Love The Filth is to be released June 5, 2015 (Panta R&E).

Brond

Quad-Voiced-Riff-Station. One riff. Four voices.

Името BROND идва от стара английска дума означаваща меч. Тя символизира изостреното чувството на бандата за социална, икономическа и артистична справедливост. Групата е сформирана през 2012 г. с идеята да се възроди духа от 90-те на банди, като HELMET, REFUSED, MELVINS и FUGAZI. Липсата на ясно изразен фронтмен е предамерено търсен ефект, целящ да отклони вниманието на слушателя от конкрентата вокална партия и личност в посока към една богата вокално-китарна хармония предаваща едно общо усещане от конкретната творба, а не фокуса върху едно отделно его. Първото EP е реализирано през 2015 г. с помощта на Magnetic Eye Records (US) и отразява  критичният поглед на бандата към посткомунистическата реалност. Продуцент е Aaron Harris (ex-ISIS, PALMS) и е мастериано от Maor Appelbaum. През 2016 г. започва работата по дебутния албум “Graveyard Campfire”, който е вдъхновен донякъде от случаите на самозапалване по време на политическите протести в България в периода 2013 г. – 2014 г. Албума е записан в София в студиото на Пламен Пенчев и е продуциран от Justin Pizzoferrato, който е работил с ELDER, DINOSAUR JR. и THURSTON MOORE. Албума е мастериран от James Plotkin излиза в началото на 2018 г., последван от европейско турне с впечатляващ брой участия. Досега BROND са делили сцена с утвърдени имена като KYLESA, PHILM (ex-DAVE LOMBARDO), TORCHE, SIGIRIYA и THERAPY? и др.
